Mission Hobo; Mission week? 4th week as AP (Sept 30, 2024); Area: Curitiba Centro

CHAMA! What's good y'all? Welcome back to another email from Elder Hyatt! Man these past weeks have been so crazy!!!! I gotta tell you guys!!AMA! What's good y'all? Welcome back to another email from Elder Hyatt! Man these past weeks have been so crazy!!!! I gotta tell you guys!

Being Assistant
So firstly, I definitely wasn't prepared for this when I was told that I was going to be Assistant to the Presidnt, hahaha. I literally feel like a hobo because I am never at my house nor my area. I mean, yeah, I take care of other missionaries, but I almost always have a suitcase in hand. It's been crazy. From conversing with President, to burning the mission, to traveling back to my first areas it's been nuts! Anyway let me go into some cool experiences!

Exhausted🧳
The first week was tiring. I never knew that working and divisions all day everyday and trying to keep up high energy and also have miracles happen would be so tiring. I would come home and just pass out in bed. One needs to know so much and you are constantly in contact with people as well. I honestly don't know how President Bikman handles everything.

Ponta Grossa 🚌
Two weeks ago I was in Ponta Grossa for the first time in almost 8 months!! Went back to my very first area, Jardim Florença!! It was so awesome! Got to see so many people like Mateus, Bia, Yan, Marisol, Irmã Glaurys e a familia dela. The next day I went back to Dalcol and saw Luiz Thiago! Also saw some of the people that I helped! It was really cool aside from the horrible rain storm that hit. Then I ended the week in Jardim Verona with Elder Peterson and Elder Benjamim. Spent Saturday and Sunday working with them, and it was a blast! I got the chance to baptize there as well. I did an interview for a girl and at the end she said that I could baptize her! It was a great and funny weekend where I also ran into João Victor!!! On p-day we got the first bus back at 6:30 am and later that day we had to shoot a podcast, so stay in tune for that!

Só Água 🌊
This week we went back to Almirante Tamandaré because one of our friends named Thiago wanted me to baptize him. We went there, got everything organized and we were able to baptize his at the very end of the day. It was so cool because it's been months since we found him and now he is finally apart of the rebanho de Deus. The next day I went with Elder Salmon and Elder Collins in Campo Magro. It was so fun because we went to a giant favela and we talked with a bunch of people, one of which was a lady who has been going to church for 4 months now who wanted to be baptized that night. We organized everything with the ward and well, she got baptized!!! It's truly been a hard and exhausting week, but completely worth it.

Well that's a basic summary of the transfer so far. We just started the 4th week and it doesn't even feel like it. Anyway, I'll continue to keep y'all updated.
